Car Wash Accomplished

We left the house to go get a car wash and some things at Publix.

The internal car wash closed at 2 p.m. we were there minutes after they closed!

We then went to the gas station that had a car wash (external) and FINALLY got a car wash.  The car was filthy!

We went to Publix for some groceries and then came home.

Terry made us a great dinner.  Salad, steak, potatoes, and green beans.  Champagne! and Peppermint Ice Cream for dessert.

We did not make it to midnight.

Late Leaving the House

We did not leave the house until after lunch.

We stopped at a different Dollar Tree and Terry found the things she could not find in the one we went to yesterday.

We went to Walmart and it was a zoo.  Terry went in and got our prescriptions.

We then went to the pick-up area and they put the groceries into our trunk.

Come home to put the groceries away, we discovered that Terry could NOT get out of the car until I backed up into the driveway.  Bernie has so much crap in the small garage it makes it impossible for any one on the passenger side to get out of the car.

We put the perishables away and then left again for a car wash (CLOSED).  Terry had things she wanted to get from Publix.  It too was a zoo.

Don't ask about the car wash that did not happen near Walmart!  Don't ask about Terry getting locked in the house.

Arrived

We left the Hampton Inn, Valdosta, around 8:30 a.m., for our short ride to The Villages.

We stopped for a photo at the Florida Welcome Center, however, it was not too welcoming as it was CLOSED.  The washrooms were open, but not the area where you would get orange juice and information in the past was CLOSED.  Color us DISAPPOINTED.

Fortunately, traffic moved on I-75 and after potty breaks and a stop for gas, we arrived at the house around noon.

Shirley and Bernie left the key for us and we unloaded the car and then went to lunch at the Chicken Salad Place and then went to get our credentials and then went to Dollar Tree and Aldi's and then came home.

We are tired and testy with each other.  Terry made dinner and I did the dishes.  She unpacked I only umpacked my office.

We Need Tech Help

After a nice breakfast at the Hyatt Place, we left Smyrna, GA for Valdosta, GA around 10 a.m.

We stopped for gas and potty as usual.

Stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch of fried chicken.  Whomever in the family put in the grab bag the Cracker Barrel- thanks.

We were in touch with Diane and Tom as they left their nephew's and heading for home.

Tech help needed - could not figure out the TV (Terry finally figured it out)

We thought we would order in dinner, but that did not work even after putting in all the tech info needed.

Terry got the food bag and we had peanut butter on crackers and then the gift cake from Xmas.

Fog and More Fog

After a nice breakfast, we got in the car for day two of our trip to Florida.

We had a lot of fog (see the photo Terry took)

We went in and out of fog for hours.

As usual we made it through the "mountains" without a problem.

However, a lot of traffic as we moved from I-24 into I-75.
.
We missed the big accident on I-75 that Diane and Tom had to go around. I-75 was closed in both directions as they came through.

We arrived at the Hyatt Place,  Smyrna, GA. left our bags and went to dinner at Carabbah's.  We did not have lunch and snacked on crap so we could get to Smyrna in the day light.

On The Road Again

We pulled out of Terry's garage at 8:30 and hit the road.

It was foggy, drizzling and/or raining.

We made stops for gas and then for lunch.  Sorry, Stacy, we did stop at a McDonalds.

We made it to Elizabethtown, KY and are staying at the Marriott Fairfield Inn.

We went to Ruby Tuesday for dinner and came back to catch Temple Services.

BTW It's 68 degrees

We have a two-room suite and watched our Temple Services in the Living Room,  on the couch, from Marilyn's computer.
