Driving Ms Daisy (Terry)

 After lunch, we left the house to run some errands.

It started at the post office, where Terry went in and they weighed the envelopes with valentines for each family.  They put STAMPS on the envelopes, instead of the printed machine ones????

From there we went into the new Goodwill off of 441 and we both went in - we were under whelmed.

Next, we went to the Hospital Resale and Marilyn found a pair of gold earrings, she had neglected to bring a pair with her.

We next went to Aldi's and Terry went in to get some bottles of sangria - the second bottle in case we have a sangria emergency.

Then Walmart, where Terry went in to get a clock/radio for her bedroom.

Next was Savannah Center to get a visitor pass for Jeff.  Fortunately, he was already in the system so Terry was out quickly.  Marilyn had to park at the far end of the parking lot since there was a concert going on at Savannah.  Before going into Savannah Terry called Jeff to make sure she had all of his information, so we both got to say hello.

Final stop was Publix and Terry went in without Marilyn (much quicker that way).

We cane home to a chicken dinner from Publix and will be reading and relaxing.

Friends of Long Standing

 After breakfast, we both went into Symposium.  Phyllis Steiner's granddaughter-in-law was the speaker, Rabbi Goldie Guy from Hadar Chicago. We originally both listened in the office - with only one of our computer's sound on.  Then Marilyn moved to the living room and listened from there.

After lunch, Marilyn took a nap since she hadn't slept that long, having stayed up to finish the Hello Beautiful Book.

At 4:30, we left the house to go meet our friends Sandy and Danny (from Sanibel) and Diane and Tom at Blue Fin, down in Brownwood. Sandy, Diane, Terry and Marilyn went to grammar school and high school together.

We left a little early (after almost 2 hours at the restaurant) in order to be home in time for the Barry Bradford presentation about children of Presidents, 7:30 p.m.

We then listened to Prosecuting Donald Trump and the court ruling that he does NOT have immunity.

Oh So Pretty

 After lunch, we stopped at the Postal Station for Terry's last package from Des Plaines, for last week.

We cannot wait to see what this week brings.  The post office keeps thinking of new ways to make our lives miserable!

We went to get our hair done by Vanessa.  Vanessa's salon in on Main Street in Wildwood, FL, in this building.

From there we went to Dollar Tree on 466A, and bought a few things for the house.

We were going to stop at Publix, but it started to rain, so we did not stop.

Friends of Long Standing

 The morning and early afternoon were filled with breakfast and lunch of leftovers.  Breakfast - pancakes from First Watch - Lunch - sandwich pinwheels from last night.

We are also reading the Book Club Book - Hello Beautiful.  Well written and an interesting story.

Then we opened the table by putting a leaf into it and setting it for our company.  Diane, Tom and Joyce.

We had appetizers of pita chips/dip, cheese and crackers and liquor. Terry heated a lasagna, made a salad and rolls.  For dessert ice cream and heart-shaped cookies.

Sad Morning and Fun Evening

 We had lunch at First Watch with our friend Joy, whose husband, Bob, is dying of pancreatic cancer.  It is moving very fast and it is so sad.  He is in Hospice. Her kids are coming in this week.

We stopped at Dollar Tree for a container, and plastic salad fork and spoon, for the salad Marilyn is bringing to Largo Ladies this week, on Thursday.

After resting, we dressed for Lynnhaven Neighbors February meeting. at Laurel Manor.  It was supposed to be a Neil Diamond Impersonator.  However, for the second month in a row, the original entertainer got ill.

The substitute was a gentleman with a nice voice, who worked hard.  The second half was a young lady who is also an algebra teacher.

Unfortunately, we don't remember the names of the entertainers.

We brought sandwich roll ups (pin wheels) and everyone brought other appetizers.  Diane and Tom were at another table. At our table were Joyce, Karen, Gloria and Lynn, Barbara and Garrett.

Grocery Shopping

 Our Thursday Political Discussion Group, with Sally, had been moved to today.

Our first stop was the postal station, where Terry's envelope from Mindy was stuffed into the box so tight Terry had to break open the envelope to get everything out.

We then went shopping at Sam's Club and Aldi's, for Sunday when we are having company. Also for tomorrow when we are going to the Lynnhaven Group where we are bringing appetizers (roll ups).  We also shopped for Feb. 8, and the Largo Ladies, where Marilyn is to bring a salad and Terry is to bring an appetizer.

We got home in time to have a quick dinner and then watched our Temple Services.  It was Refugee Shabbat and Natalie Cohen gave the sermon about The Free Store in Deerfield, and the help our community has given to the family from the Ukraine.

We are now trying to catch up on two days of newspapers.

Lost is Found and Sightseeing

 This morning, right after breakfast, and just before Terry was going to call the Lady Lake Post Office, the doorbell rang.  A young woman handed Terry her mail.  The woman who had dropped it off at the wrong house went back and found it this morning.

A happier Terry was ready for our day of adventure with Ethel (Steve was in Chicago for a few days).

We started by picking up Ethel and going to Bonifay Country Club or lunch.

We went down south to explore where the new Villages High School is.  Very impressive campus!  We needed our GPS to find it.  It's in the middle of nowhere.  We went out looking for other things that we could not find!

We were in Leesburg before we could figure out where we were.  We next went to McDonalds near Ethel's house and had sundaes!

We were napping when Mindy called and spoke with her for awhile.  We learned that Jeremy and Ashley both have Covid.

We watched Barry Bradford do a program on Harriet Tubman, for the Cook Library.  Very interesting presentation.
