I just read that being lazy one day a week is good for your health. Well today was a healthy day.
We did not leave the house until 2:00 p.m.
We went to Belk's as Terry was on a mission to find closed-toed shoes that she can wear,without socks, on cooler days. She found two pair at Belk's and was undecided about which pair to buy so bought them both. May return one, or may not.
We both bought bras - how's that for excitement!!!! The bra Terry bought was on clearance - unfortunately, mine were on sale, but not on clearance.
It started to rain as we got back into the car, so we decided that other stores could wait.
Stopped at the Postal Station and my box was there. As promised, in a lower postal box, so no need for the Jolly Green Giant today.
I sorted my mail and we both did laundry and were reading.
Like at the end of cartoons.....That's all folks!!!!

Canasta Lessons
The morning started with working at our computers and then for me - a nap!
We had lunch and Arlene and Joan came over to try to teach us Canasta. They brought the electric shuffler they found at the house they are renting. We had the cards and the card holder.
Arlene and I were partners and Terry and Joan made mince-meat out of us. They even had a canasta of all wild cards!!!! We could not even go down on that hand!
After the girls left, Terry went to the Postal Station (two days without any mail for her). As she left, I had been speaking with my friend, Georgia. My call must have gone into the Bluetooth in the car and Terry was hearing the conversation, but I could not hear Georgia. I had to call her back when the car was out of the area. We were still on the telephone when Terry came back and the call went into Bluetooth again! Modern technology!!!!
For dinner, I had my leftover steak from Bonefish and Terry had a chicken breast. She also heated some little potatoes and carrots.
The evening was spent reading and answering emails.

Launch??? And Chico's Fashion Show
Terry and I had our leftover cheesecake (dessert from last night) for breakfast - yummy!!!!
We then went onto the Space Center's Website and hoped to see the shuttle go off. However, we saw nothing. We don't know if we were too late and the clock on their website was off or?????
At 10:30 a.m., we picked up Arlene and Joan to go to Katie Belle's to attend the Chico Fashion Show. We met Ethel there. Diane and Cheri were at another table (that was supposed to be next to us - but was not) Diane's friend Pat sat with us.
After the show, we went to Chico's. Ethel tried on a number of things and bought some things. Arlene bought one top and ordered an outfit. Terry and Joan were cold so they sat in the car and waited.
Terry had some coupons for four FREE Frostys from Wendy's so we went to Wendy's Drive Thru and ordered the Frostys. Joan did not want one. Terry and Arlene started eating theirs in the car. Terry did not finish hers. Mine went into the freezer as did Terry's partially eaten one, and Joan's. I finished mine shortly after coming home. Terry finished hers after dinner.
Our dinner was our left overs from lunch (salmon, pot roast, corn and mashed potatoes). It was very good.
We are reading, doing crossword puzzles (me) and working at our computers.

Mah Jongg and Bonefish
After breakfast, I ran over to Walmart to get my prescription. The 90 pills were in three different bottles!
Ethel dropped Steve off at the airport for his trip home for a few days to do taxes. She came here for lunch and then Arlene came over and we played mah jongg. Terry and I were hot, and Arlene and Ethel did not have one mah jongg. Joan arrived after 3 p.m. and played a few hands. She too had a mah jongg!
We left the house for a 5:30 reservation at Bonefish. Tuesday is always crowded as they have a special - salad, entree and dessert for the cost of the entree. I had a steak (I know it's a fish restaurant, but I had a taste for beef). Everyone else had fish.
Terry has her phone in her hand as they were going to text her when our table was ready. We were a little early and right on time they texted us and we were seated.

I'll have to check the doors in Skokie. There is a revolving door in Skokie.

Launch Scratched
We had anticipated going outside to view a launch from Kennedy Space Center, at 9:49 a.m. However, it got scratched. It is supposed to happen tomorrow morning. Now the website says Wednesday at 9:06 a.m.
After breakfast, we both worked and I made some telephone calls.
After lunch, we finally left the house to run errands. We started at Sam's Club, and then Sam's Gas.
Next was Aldi's, however, they did not have everything Terry was looking for, so Publix was the last stop.
While Terry was in Aldi's I tendered my resignation to the Niles Township Food Pantry Foundation Board. I had planned to do that when I retired as the Supervisor, but the Foundation President asked me to stay. Since there is a new Supervisor and a new Trustee, it was time for my resignation to be accepted.
We checked the mailbox and there was some mail for Terry. Not everything that she was expecting has arrived. Supposedly, a box is also to be forwarded - we'll see. She's been in touch with the Des Plaines Post Office and learned that her mail comes into their facility and then goes back to the Distribution Center for forwarding.
We came home and had our left-over pizza for dinner and we spent the evening reading and checking Facebook, etc.

Melon Patch Theatre
We both were busy this morning and Terry made us a nice omelette for breakfast.
We had a quick lunch of peanut butter and jelly as we had to pick up Arlene and Joan by 12:45 p.m.
We went to Leesburg to the Melon Patch Theatre to see a comedy. Three of the actors played multiple parts and it was cute.
Terry had a taste for pizza so we went to Mom and Dad's and she and I had pizza. Arlene and Joan had Italian dishes, but not pizza. We have enough pizza left over for one or two meals.
We both spent a part of the evening on the telephone. I played catch up with my friend Marlene, in Skokie, and our friend Joy (in The Villages) and Diane (just arrived in Naples).
Terry was on the telephone with the Chairman of a Grammar School Reunion Committee from Peterson School, she's invited as a past PTA President. She also was working with Mindy at some point during the evening.

Scarface
Work in the morning and reading and naps in the afternoon.
I ran to the Postal Station to mail our mail. Was on the telephone for about a half hour in my car before coming back home-playing catch up with the new Supervisor of the Township.
We had a quick dinner and left to pick up Arlene and Joan to go to see a play at Mulberry Recreation Center - Scarface. Very talented cast and a funny show. Show is about Ben Hecht, reporter and screenwriter, who is writing the screen play for the movie Scarface. Al Capone is not too happy about the movie idea and sends his goons to stop it. Lots of twists and turns and laughs.
We came home to have some tea (Terry) and hot water (me) to warm up as it was cooler outside than we had prepared for.
