We awoke fairly early and had a lazy morning, had our
leftovers omlettes for breakfast.
Martha Smith called that she had arrived at camp and we met her at
the Information Booth on campus.
Since she had never been to the Jewish deli, L'Chaim, we decided to
go there for lunch. We each have half of
our sandwiches left over and they are sitting in the refrigerator. Of course, after lunch, we HAD to have ice
cream and went to Moomers and got right in and got a table inside without any
problem! It got very crowded right after
we finished.
We then came back to campus, dropped the left overs in the
refrigerator and Martha got to see our lodgings.
We then went to our respective lodgings for a nap and met
again at little later for dinner at the grills in the center of campus.
At 7:30, we went to hear the Detroit Symphony at
Kresge. It was a great concert,
When we were sitting after the concert, we heard that there was going to be a power outage at 10:30 p.m. When we got back into our car, parked in the Stone Center parking lot, Terry called Stone to see if it would affect the Penn Colony residences and were told that yes it would. Right at 10:30 the lights went out and we had our flashlights at the ready. About 10 minutes later the electricity came back on. Then it went off again for 2 1/2 hours. What a night. We were without Internet also. Hence this blog has the wrong date.
