Arlene a perfectly good unused name

Today we left the house after lunch to go grocery shopping and to Walgreens.

Walgreens sent me a coupon good for $5 off of a $10 purchase for talking with a druggist.  There was no line at the drug counter so I showed the coupon to the druggist (a young man).  He had not seen the coupon before and said okay - I said "we've talked"  he said yes!

We bought a few things and Terry got her makeup - for $5 off - great deal!  Thanks Walgreens.

Went to Aldi's and Publix to shop for tonight and for the Chicagoland Club (on Tuesday).

I went over to Diane and Tom's for Terry's mail (yea - Des Plaines Post Office), while Terry waited for our guests-Barb and Bernie.

Barb and Terry worked together at Shell Oil (before Terry's kids were born).  Terry was officially known as Arlene in those days. Always, known as Terry at home.  Barb still thinks of her as Arlene-hard habit to break!

Olympics are on but half listening while writing the blog.
