Sad Day

My day starting with a call from Mary Kay that her husband, my friend Bill, had passed away last night.  While it was expected, it is still hard to adjust to the thought.  His funeral will be next week, I feel awful that I cannot be there.

I was busy on the telephone finding out information about Bill's service to the REALTOR community that Mary Kay needed for the death notice.

Terry was busy on a long conference call with Mindy and two of their employees.

We finally both came up for air and had a quick lunch.

We recycled our newspapers at the Temple and then went to Beall's Outlet.  Terry bought out the place - so don't even think of going to the one on 441/27.  At one point I said - "who are you and what did you do to my sister."  She isn't generally a shopper!  Here are the tops that she bought:

This last one she bought at Anthony's last week

There were three more that she has decided to take back!

We went to Aldi's and Terry went in to shop while I made some telephone calls.

Our friend from Temple, Annette, called to say that her daughter-in-law Linda's uncle was my friend Marlene's significant other.  You may recall from an earlier post that he passed away last week after an auto accident in Lincolnwood.  Small world!

Spoke  with Marlene again tonight and she is hanging in there - lots of frustrations.  The car is still being examined, etc. etc.

After dinner, I participated in the Township meeting.  Short meeting.  Chuck said it was ten below zero and more snow was on the way!  What a great winter to be in Florida.
