In The Height of Fashion

We picked up Ethel, Sharon and Diane and headed to The Cattle Barron Club for a luncheon/fashion show put on by Anthony's, a nice shop in Colony Plaza.

The lunch was the choice of three items and was nothing to write home about.  Getting butter for our bread and cream for Sharon's coffee was a bit of a challenge.  Did I mention the champagne?  A little bubbly at lunch is a nice touch.  They never did refill our glasses, but that was probably for the best since I was the designated driver.

The models were our age, with lovely figures, and the fashions were mostly things we'd wear.  In fact, they gave us coupons for some money off and I know that Diane made a run up there and bought a few things.

We dropped Ethel off at the movie in Sumter Landing to meet Steve.  Norman was picking up Sharon (at least we hope he did)  as we left her sitting outside waiting for him.

When we got home, Terry took a walk and I participated in a conference call with the Political Affairs Committee of my REALTOR Board.  It's local election time and we were discussing races and making recommendations to our state political action committee.

Terry talked with Betty, and it is official, she is moving to California, after all of these years in Indianapolis, to be closer to one of her sons and grandchildren.

Terry baked chicken kiev for dinner and they were good.  We are on a clean out the freezer project as we leave a week from tomorrow.

We are both working on our laptops, but I'm going to go and read the paper before it gets too late.
