After breakfast, and doing some work, we left for the Chicagoland Ladies Luncheon, at Truman Rec Center, as Diane's guest.
We each had to bring a bowl of veggies to share for the Friendship Salad. The group supplied the lettuce, the salad dressings, rolls and dessert.
There were green tables and red tables. We were at a green table so put our veggies on the green buffet table. I brought carrots and Terry brought beets.
The speaker was Sue Ann Baker, who was seated at our table for lunch, and who wrote the book Behind the Shades, about her time in the Secret Service. After her speech, we all donned sunglasses and had a group photo taken with her.
I bought the book and she autographed it.
After leaving the luncheon, we went to the Hospital Thrift shop and each bought a few things.
On to Target - they no longer carry the Kleenex boxes that I use in my car - boo-hoo.
Terry made a great spaghetti dinner with leftover chicken and veggies. She did this between doing her laundry.
