After working all morning, we got in the car and went to Ikea, in Orlando, because they had inexpensive scales and Terry was going nuts not being able to weigh herself every day. The cost of tolls was almost the same cost as the scale! Oh well, it was a beautiful day for a ride and Ikea is always fun. They had my napkins, so I bought two packages which I'll have to stuff into my suitcase for the ride home.
Terry had a taste for shrimp, so we stopped at Bonefish for dinner. We got there at a good time to get a table and enjoyed our salads and shrimp appetizers.
I had a Township meeting that I participated in via telephone and then Terry and I watched a little TV. Antiques Road Show had a double feature!
Got an email from our friend Fran, that someone whom we had known years ago died suddenly. Spoke to our friend Ida for more details. Ida will go to the graveside service tomorrow (her second funeral to attend for tomorrow). I hope her week improves as she has a birthday later in the week. I'm too much of a lady to mention which one! Let's say 39 and holding!
Lit a candle for our mother tonight. Tomorrow will be 10 years since she passed away. It just doesn't seem possible that she is gone that long. One very incredible, loving, strong, admirable lady. We are going to be taking bridge lessons while in the Villages as she once said we should learn to play bridge or we will be "lonely old ladies." We had played years ago, but need to learn the new conventions and reacquaint ourselves with the game.
Speaking about games, we will be teaching our friend Diane, and a friend of hers, how to play mah jongg! I had brought my set down so we can play here. Mah jongg is big here. It should be fun. Some of our friends are coming down here in February and they are fairly new players too, so we should have some good games.
