Early Morning Telephone Call

My cell phone rang at 4:00 a.m. Florida Time (3 a.m. Chicago Time). I did not pick up as it was not a number in my directory and wasn't one of the kids.  However, the caller left a voice message.  It was a neighbor who was getting water in her unit.  I texted her that I was in Florida.  She texted back that it was coming from the unit above me and going down the whole tier.  I, too, had water and the President of the Association tried to clean it up.  However, when Ron (my wonderful handyman) went to look later in the day there was a good bit of damage.  Waiting to hear if my upstairs neighbor has a claim number from her insurance company and if an adjuster is coming to assess the damage.

To say that I was a zoomie for most of the day is an understatement.

We got a VERY late start to our day and our first errand was to return a pair of slacks that Terry bought at Bealls.  With the wonderful bargains she got yesterday, she had no need for full-priced slacks.

From Bealls, we went to the flip that Diane and Tom are doing.  Cheri, their daughter, flew in from Chicago to help paint the villa as Diane's back has gone out.  It's a nice unit in a crowded villa area near our friends Barb and Bernie, who have a large house in the area.

Our next stop was Barb and Bernie's for a delicious dinner, lots of laughs and catching up.

We came home and I opened my box from the post office - lots and lots of mail for just one week.  It is all opened and somewhat sorted, the real work comes tomorrow.
