Pollack.ShapiroCousins

Terry and I left the house before 10 a.m. to drive to St. Petersburg to meet our Pollack/Shapiro cousins.

The Pollack girls: Betty and Carol, and Betty's family, met us at The Brass Bowl in St. Petersburg.

We  had not seen Carol since she was a young girl - shortly after confirmation, when they moved out of the Chicago area.

Fortunately, we see Betty and Bill every winter down in Florida, where they come for two months.

Last year, we saw Matthew and Natalie (who have since gotten married - a wedding we had to miss in December).  Last year, we also saw Adam and Jacqueline (I may have spelled her name wrong).  Adam was able to join us for lunch as he doesn't start a new job until Monday.  Jacqueline was working at her volunteer job at a hospital and was unable to join us this year.

Betty and Carol's great grandmother and our grandfather were sister and brother.

We came back to The Villages and Terry went to take a nap.  She woke up with a temperature and a scratchy throat.  Hope she is feeling better soon.
