Terry was up early and went out to see if there were hot-air balloons rising from the Polo Field, scheduled for 7 a.m. But since there was no wind there were no balloons. Color her disappointed..
I worked most of the morning. Terry was catching up on three days of newspapers and made some egg salad for lunch. We had breakfast and lunch and then picked up Arlene and Joan at 12:30 for our ride to Mount Dora.
We went to the Ice House Theatre to see Biloxi Blues, a Neil Simon Play. None of us had seen the play before. It takes place during World War II and basic training on a Army Base in Biloxi.
It was a great play and very well acted. We lucked out and the people scheduled to sit in front of Arlene and Joan (who were in the row in front of us) did not show.
We drove toward The Villages and came upon an Italian Restaurant that we had eaten in before and decided to stop there. There was no wait, however, they had a party of 35 descend upon them (without a reservation) and everyone was scrambling, so service was a little slow. The water, and then the garlic rolls, came out fairly quickly, but our salads was a wait. Then another wait for our main courses. Joan wanted a steak knife to cut her veal and after asking a number of people - FINALLY got a steak knife. By then her veal was not as hot as it had been when served. It was a long dinner!!!!
I'm hoping to stay up for the 11 p.m. launch from Kennedy Space Center. Not sure if Terry is going to make it.
