I checked student questions, we had a quick breakfast, and were off to Sarasota.
Two plus hours later, we were in Sarasota where we were meeting Diane Falk, and Keith and Becky Hancock, who were driving up from Ft. Myers/Naples area, so we could all have lunch with Jean Wright who is in an assisted-living facility. Jean is a REALTOR friend who had some health reverses last winter while in her Sarasota home, and was in the hospital a few times.
She is doing amazingly well and is as feisty as ever. She hopes to be back in Winnetka in late Spring.
Her eyesight is bad and she has a devise, that coupled with a pair of glasses, can read printed matter to her!
We had lunch at an adorable place called Millie's.
Great photo of the group, except for me - I really need to learn to smile for photos. Jean is seated next to me. Back row is Terry, Diane, Keith and Becky.
Terry and I explored a Jewelry and Clothing Outlet next door to the restaurant but walked out empty handed.
Normally, we would have called our cousins who are in the area for the winter, but we wanted Jean to be the center of attention and she was.
There was a Beall's Outlet not far from the restaurant and we explored there also. Terry found some tops but I left empty handed.
We also needed some ink for the printer and spotted an Office Max and did a quick turn around to go there before we got on I-75 for the trip home. I used my REALTOR discount card and we got 20% off the cost of the ink cartridges.
There was an accident and some small tie ups that made the trip back a little longer. At one point, the GPS told us to get off and when we did, she directed us right back onto I-75. We have no idea what that was about.
Terry made dinner AND did the dishes and a load of towels! Usually, I clean up after dinner but she said since I had done all of the driving she would clean up - OK then!!!
